Adrienne E. Harris has significant litigation and negotiations experience. She has tried more than 60 cases to jury verdict; handled thousands of cases to settlement; and taken hundreds of cases to arbitration and bench trials.
Originally from California, Adrienne worked as a criminal prosecutor in the Violent Crimes Unit of the Tulare County District Attorney’s Office before moving to Washington in 2001. From 2001 to 2004, she was an Assistant Attorney General in the Washington State Attorney General’s Office, starting in the Sexually Violent Predator Unit. She transitioned from criminal to civil practice in the Labor and Personnel Division.
Adrienne moved to a Senior Counsel position at Travelers Insurance Company as a Major Case Attorney in 2004. She defended her clients in premises, products, fire, commercial auto, trucking, construction, medical malpractice, brain injury, wrongful death and other catastrophic injury cases. In 2016, she took a position with Sentry Insurance Company, launching its Staff Counsel Expansion Program, opening and managing the company’s law office in Washington, and defending Sentry’s insureds in non-standard auto and commercial premises cases. Adrienne has served as a court-appointed arbitrator for the King County Superior Court since 2006.
A graduate of San Diego State University with Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science and English, Adrienne continued her education at California Western School of Law, where she served as a member of the Advocacy Honors Board. She was the recipient of the Washington Correctional Association Law Enforcement Award and California Governor’s Award.
In her free time, Adrienne enjoys baking, skiing, swimming and traveling with her husband and two children.
